Best Review Ever?

We’ve gotten some really great reviews for Sol: Sun Clock so far but this one might be my favorite.

And don’t worry, iPhone 5 screen size support is in the next version!

DEVS— I use this app everyday of my life. Please, please, add iPhone 5 support! I depend heavily on this app… It has allowed me to use as my clock what I have always felt, & naturally been attuned to, as my measurement of time— the turning of the heavens; the sun’s movement across the sky. It doesn’t just help me stay connected to nature. It helps me use nature as my only source of time management. It is my own clock & calendar for marking the passing of the days, months, & years… I’M BEGGING you  Maintain support for this product!

Also— another reviewer suggested Luna for Moon phases… If you made a whole separate app based on the Lunar Calendar— I’d gladly buy that separate app for the same price as “Sol.” P.S. If you reviewed as wanting a different interface, with less graphics… on an infographic app… I recommend a plain text Word Document on Windows 98 with a list of rise & set times… Your perfect app.

It’s gorgeous, and until you see sunrise data outlined like this — you don’t know what you’re missing. Once you use it, you won’t want to view it any other way. I never thought I’d fall in love with this app as much as I have.

I especially appreciated how the reviewer goes after another reviewer who complained about the graphics being “distracting”.

    Hi there,
I really like this App too and kind of forgot about it on my iPad for a awhile.

    1. I was trying to install it on my iPhone and going by the App name ‘Sol’ it can’t be found. However, going by search: ‘sun clock’ you do get a hit. Perhaps changing the name to ‘Sol Sun Clock’ would help?

    2. On my iPad I’d love to have it viewable in landscape as well, but that seriously not important. I think you developers are probably very busy already. Just putting the idea there in case you were looking to update.

Finally, like the reviewer above, I’d totally agree. I love the way it’s attuned to nature and where you are. However I do believe UI can always be improved! This one is still great. Simplicity is key before any other aesthetic make up.

Thanks for a really good App and yes, please keep it going even if no updates made.
    It makes my day!

    Hi Anthony,

    Thanks for the comments! Responses:

    1) The official name of the app is in fact already “Sol: Sun Clock” (it just shows up in on your device’s main screen as “Sol”) but yeah it’s frustrating to us as well that a search on “Sol” in the App Store doesn’t bring it up.

    2) The new version has landscape mode for the iPad (and iPhone 5) screen support… and some other improvements we hope you will dig. We’ll be submitting to Apple any day now.

Thanks for the nice comments! Please help us spread the word… the more we get the word out, the better the app gets.
